I am pleased and terribly excited to announce that only two days after my post addressing the culturally incorrect labeling of the Asian food aisle as “Chinese Food”, Giant Foods quickly took action to remove the mislabeling and apologize. I received an incredibly kind and apologetic e-mail from the Consumer Affairs department assuring me that the sign would be removed permanently.
I would like to commend and applaud Giant for taking action so quickly and taking full responsibility for their mistake. This, folks, is how you handle a situation like this. I am so excited that my writing has benefitted our community and I am equally excited to continue evoking social change.
